Mary S - Sweet Chick says:I know what you mean Belly Chick!
We had one last week and he kept digging in one of my flower pots in the sunroom.
I set a trap and caught him.
Next morning, dirt on the floor again so I set the trap. Caught another one that night. And….a third one after that!!!
Good luck catching them!!
AND….I love this pick.
Love brown and purple together!!

Mommykat Bubbly Chick says:Oh gosh, we have one too! I am afraid to barefoot! We tried a closing door trap, no luck! We tried a glue trap, there was a patch of fur in it the next morning, Hated to do it, but we set out poison under the piano, and on the shelves in our pantry.
Really hated to do it!
Georgous pick tho!

Elaine aka Belly Chick says:Thanks ladies! Whew, now I don’t feel so alone with my mouse. The first time we had mice was about 5 years ago; we had no clue we had them. I sat down at my desk (which is in our porch area next to the back door) and I went to open the drawer and the mouse jumped out! Startled me so bad I just about landed into the next week!! Ever since then, they just gross me right out! Before that they didn’t bother me so much, but that was because if I saw one, I knew where it was. Eeecckkk….mice – picture me running off screaming…!!

Happy Chick aka Harriet says:Oh, yeah, they can scare you into hurting yourself! And living here in the American Southwest, there is a bad disease potential w/hanta virus and and some indication that the rats can carry bubonic plague. I am really careful cleaning up any droppings I find, even if they get into the garage. Of course, in the garage, my cat usually takes care of the problem mice.
Like the pick! Just not the rodents.

Luv2bead - Little Chick says:Wild mice are kinda freaky (if you don’t know when they’ll jump out at you)! Pet mice aren’t…such as Reepecheep & Millie.

Mommykat Bubbly Chick says:I agree, Nicole! Pet mice are great! We tried to catch ours, but they were either too smart or too scared!

Luv2bead - Little Chick says:btw: Maybe I’ll take a picture of Millie sometime & post (as long as nobody would be afraid) ah?

Elaine aka Belly Chick says:Little Chick, I would love to see a pic of Millie! It’s those nasty wild mice that creep me out…and the mess they leave behind is just gross; we are warned of the Hanta virus here as well. BTW, that was such a cool name…Reepecheep!!

Elaine aka Belly Chick says:Aqua Kitty to the rescue!…that is so weird that the story of Aqua Kitty comes to the forefront just about the same time our unwanted visitor makes himself known!
