Yes! it is a beautiful addiction!
We are here to support you (emotionally, that is). We are all broke from bead ordering, too. LOL :-)
Hope you have fun with this.
Maybe you can sell some pieces at your restaurant, hmmm…. just a discreet nicly lit glass case with handmade, one of a kind creations ….then you can tell your guy you are in business! ;)

Thank you ladies :) Harriet, my husband has been telling me to do that for a while now, but I don’t know if a jewelry display will look right in a restaurant…

    KPJEWELS says:

Try just a small diplay case that will hold five or six necklaces and set it near or beside the cash register. Lots of restaurants have something near their registers. At least in my neck of the woods they do.

    GO FOR IT Ivy!!!
I think it’s an exciting idea!
I’d do it if I had the opportunity.

Maybe I’m crazy, but I LIKE the stone combo in this pick!

Wishing there was an order like this in my future…sigh…….

I say they look great together! I love the patterns & colors together, they accent each other very well!

And I’m with the other chicks, you should put your jewelry out to sell! We have restaurants that have a little gift nook near the checkout/waiting area too. Nothing wrong with making your restaurant even more unique! I’m with the little glass case idea, to start with! You should go for it!!!

See? We all think you can do it! But the case is just a good precaution to protect from damage and unexpected jewlry disappearances. Besides, it showcases the pieces. :-)

Ivy, I’m LMAO at your comments about your bead addiction… okay I’m also confessing right now!!! Totally understand about your having just ordered those fab beads in this Pick, congrats!!!
Love the idea that Happy chick suggests of displaying some of your gorgeous jewelry in a spot in your new restaurant – by the cash register – as people wait to pay… or any other area of the restaurant that could draw people’s attention… maybe some display boxes that you can hang on the walls by the tables?? so people can look at a piece while they dine??? :)

Gorgeous selection of new beads coming soon to a mailbox near Ivy!!!!! LOL

Seriously, Ivy, you really should display your pieces in your restaurant. Many others do, either by the register or in a case, or as Joyce suggested. You could even have a drawing where customers could enter their names to win a piece that you’ve created — people love things like that — and while they are filling out the little form they will look at your other pieces! :D

  17. Elaine aka Belly Chick
    Elaine aka Belly Chick says:

Oh…I just read Smart Chick’s comment about hanging your jewelery in display boxes by the tables; what about taking it one step further and framing some of your pieces and hanging them by the tables! The pieces would be safe behind glass and, after all, they are works of art!! :-D
I really do like your combination of color here; they go together surprisingly well!

  18. Elaine aka Belly Chick
    Elaine aka Belly Chick says:

Yes, Lynn…people do like things for free with a drawing. That’s a fabulous idea too! Lots of restaurants here have little trinkets/crafts or hand-made chocolates, etc. displayed by the register.

  19. Lynn Eileen Chicky LE
    Lynn Eileen Chicky LE says:

Framing them as works of art (for sale!) is a great idea! :D

Crazy Chick, it is a nice idea to have business cards w/your phone # by the jewelry in case someone wants to contact you later about a purchase. Just don’t put an address (for security).

Wow, thank you so much everyone for all the great suggestions and encouragement!! I think I will try the glass case by the register idea and Joyce, I LOVE the idea of framing and hanging pieces up on the walls! Thank you all, I can’t wait to get these beads!!! :)

    CAS says:

When I think of an Osais I think of caravans & bazaars, if you played a bit with that idea for your glass case display and price tags/jewelry cards it could be really cool. Plus I know of lots of restaurants that have some sort of merchandise displaying the restaurant’s name (t-shirts, glassware, keychains etc…) for sale, think of the Hard Rock Cafe for example. :D

  26. Cuban Queen Crazy Chick
    Cuban Queen Crazy Chick says:

Hey CAS! Yeah we used to do that with El Coqui (our old restaurant.) We had shirts displayed all over the walls around the bar with our logo on them and people would just eat them up! lol Can’t wait to see you down here! :)

    I can’t wait either, so exciting! :D
