“My dog ate my bracelet!”

Description from Wolfkazzy WolfChick: You know that recent design I uploaded of the leather wrap bracelet I did? Well one of my dogs ate it! Most of it! Came home last night to about 30 beads on the floor amid other destruction. There were 63 beads in that bracelet, can't find the other 33, now the question is if the beads were valuable enough would you fish it out of poo? Not me!

    Daisy Chick - Dawn says:

Cheap beads no, diamonds yes! What happened to the leather part? I would watch for that though to make sure it passes and doesn’t get stuck inside your dog.

  2. Eeka Mouse
    Eeka Mouse says:

Ditto what Dawn said about the stringing material. Silk is very strong, long strands can be dangerous if it hangs up – can actually cut through a loop of bowel, very serious. Keep an eye on the dog for distress, lack of appetite, etc. As for the chrysoprase beads – well, that bright green will show up nicely…

Double ditto Dawn and Eeka… keep a close eye on your dog in case he has any problems, and get him to the vet at the very first sign of distress! As for the poo question, no for cheap beads, for diamonds…I’d make my husband do it! (Chuckle, chuckle) ;)

I echo the Chickies’ comments. Sorry about the bracelet. Great pick, by the way! :D

So sorry about the lost bracelet! And add my ditto to watching the pooch closely!!

IF, a big if, you want to try to retrieve the lost beads…. You might try leaving all the latest droppings in a special location outside and let the rain wash most of the poo away and search for them later? Not sure what I’d do……..

    NY Bella says:

Oh my! Your story sounds like something my students would come up with about missing homework! I hope your dog is okay!
I’m with Mary- don’t know what I’d do about the beads…

Oh, how awful! I’m so sorry about the bracelet and I hope your pup doesn’t have any complications from his/her “snack”. I’m with the others – I’d pass on “passed” beads!

Thanks for all the compiments and comments. Yes, I will pay attention to the dogs to make sure the leather/silk passes through without complications (there are 3 German Shepherds in the house so which one did it is the question LOL) It’s probably the 18 month old though when she goes on a destructive path, the older two look on hopefully for some goodies.

Oh my gosh I’m so sorry that happened! I would be incredibly PISSED if that was me but you sound like you’re handling it pretty well. lol And like the others said too, hope the dog(s) are ok!
