Elaine aka Belly Chick says:I guess there are still issues with her meds. She told me today that her regular medication is not available anywhere so they had to substitute the generic again. But she takes two a day so she has been taking one generic and one name-brand one everyday…she is hoping the regular one will kind of balance everything out. I hope for her sake it works. I have no idea why all the pharmacies in town would be out of the good stuff! Seems sketchy!

Amy even phoned around to different locations to see if they had any in stock just to be sure and her pharmacist was being honest about having a hard time ordering any. Maybe there are more people around that are having seizure problems??!! I don’t know.

I have a couple of meds I take where my dr does that for me. Be sure to have her ask because it’s no big deal for them to do it once they know you prefer the regular vs. generic.

I agree with Chicky LE about specifying no substitutions. I think if the reason is noted on the medical files, the insurance is still supposed to pay for the higher priced drug. Maybe she can find a source online?
