“New Year's Day Wedding”
Description from Bead-itudes: I was tired last night after I got this pic loaded that I didn't put in a comment.
Some of you may remember back in March, 2010 I posted a Fresh Pick called Black Friday. It was the day I lost a very close friend to ALS.
Well New Years Day (1/1/11) is the day her daughter got married. Her colors were Black and Silver with just a hint of Lime Green (this was her Mom's favorite color). In January, 2010 my friend (Katie's Mom) was in the last months of her life and had not been able to leave her home for months. Katie and her sister went shopping for wedding gowns - and it came down to the final 2 dresses and they couldn't decide which one. The shop owner offered to hold the dresses aside so Katie could bring her Mom in the following week-end to see them. When the situation was explained to the shop owner - she was so gratious and let Katie take the two gowns home over night - so she could show her Mom. So we finally all got to see the dress that was chosen. Even though my friend never got to see her daughter walk down the aisle. She did get to help pick her wedding gown. It was a very special day. I'll try to post some of the wedding photos.
