“New Years Party Dress”

Description from Granny Chick aka Nancy: I was "trying" to design a New Years party dress that had an underslip of black and flowing purples over it. Not big and flouncy, just very thin material that would flow into a slight train in the back. The capped sleeves would be purple lace. Talented seamstresses would sew tiny gold sequins onto the black bodice underneath the thin purple. Both layers are tight to the body leaving a flowing skirt somewhat like you'd see Ginger Rogers in when she'd dance with Fred. There would be gold jewelry to tie into the sequins that would also be sewn into the bottom of the purple skirt. Very dainty. I can see it but its hard to describe.

Granny Chick aka Nancy says:Thanks so much. By the way, as I waited to get the oil changed in my car I was reading a current issue of Bazaar magazine. In it were a few pages of recommended colors by age. Those of us who are 70+ are recommended to wear cobalt blue. I will have to design another dress using cobalt blue just for me to wear when next my hubby and I meet and dance. However, he used to buy green for me to match my hazel eyes. I guess I could design 2 and let him pick.
