OK Jacki says:Yes, this IS the Moody Blues…the song I was thinking of when I first saw Sonja’s Whiter Shade of Pale. When I was an overly dramatic teenage, I wrote upon my single (45rpm?) record of this “to be played at my funeral”. LOL I found this when I was moving a few years back. First I died laughing, trying to remember why & when I would have done that (probably a puppy love breakup?!?) and then, I couldn’t bear to throw it away. Ahh, the 60s & 70s. Bellbottoms, Wide white belt, young love … & drama!!!

Sonja’s Whiter Shade of Pale was Procol Harum. Nights in White Satin is SO Moody Blues! I too was a dreamer and romatic “back in the day” and saw both groups in concert. Does it get anymore melodramatic than this???
