“Not What I Expected...”

Description from AllureofGemsGlamJulia: I received my order today: Sunstone tumbled nuggets( before sale price..),Champagne round pearls, Lodolite Tumbled nuggets and Fancy Jasper Faceted nuggets.
Everything except Sunstone was up to par.. The Sunstone was a dissapointment to me(: When , sometime ago, I received Sunstone faceted rondelles they were tiny but beautiful! excatly as described. The tumbled nuggets are absolutely different from the photo , very pale and not much sparkle... Kind of ordinary...The size: well most of them are 12mm to 14 mm only one was 24mm and quite flat, I thought they would thicker...This is my first dissapointment here.

Sorry about your disappointment. I remember Debra/Chicky D saying the same thing about the Sunstone. She said it must have had a very heavily colored string running through the strand in the photo! I’ve only had a few things that I’ve ordered here and felt they didn’t look the same as their photos. Everything else has been the best!

Received the beryl morganite rounds today, and they’re absolutely GORGEOUS!!!!!!!!!!

Cuban Queen Crazy Chick says:Julia, I had the same problem with a few stones I’ve ordered, but the worst one was the rutilated quartz. It has NO peachy tone to it like in the pics. It’s basically a clear stone with some gold “threads” running through it which is very nice but not at all what I expected. Other than that I still think LB has the best selection, quality, and price of gemstones and I still recommend them to fellow beaders. Beautiful pick, btw, Julia!

Kevin says:I did and I saw in your account that you spoke with Cathy. I’ll definitely have Ali take a look at the photos to see what is going on. Cathy’s right, all of these strands are pretty consistent and they would have been the ones we photographed, so it’s possible that the lighting could have created a problem. If the strands we have don’t look like the photos on our monitors, you can be sure that we’ll swap them out. I’ll also email you with some ideas regarding the strand you have…
