Leigh D says:Would this pick represent you kicking and screaming in response to fall?

Mommykat Bubbly Chick says:Fall is bad for my allergies… heading toward migrane territory for me! Although I love to wear sweaters & boots, I am not a huge fan of the cooler weather

Leigh D says:I hear you about the allergies – Fall is the worst time for me and my allergies as well. I adore my snuggly sweaters and thick socks but the cold and the sniffles are the worst!

Leigh D says:Oh and the cold feet – I cannot stand to have cold feet!!!

Mommykat Bubbly Chick says:Cold feet- Yuck! Oh, I have Eeyore Slippers!!!!!!! Keep my feet nice & toasty! LOL

Chicky ChaCha says:Very cool Mommykat! I moved further south to avoid the cold–the Eeyore slippers are cute as well as toasty I bet!

Happy Chick aka Harriet says:Such a pretty pick!!! and I love the hot pink rice pearls with the rainbow amazonite.
I love the cooler teperatures in fall, but it makes me sad to see my garden winding down toward winter. I am with you about the fall allergies! Had my check-up in August, and a key topic was how bad my allergies are right now. She told me we were currently in the midst of a major ragweed bloom, and we discussed ways to help my symptoms. Hang in there Bubbly Chick!

Lynn Eileen Chicky LE says:Lorrie, this is a beautiful pick! Sorry to hear Fall is such a crummy season for your allergies. I didn’t realize you got migraines, too. I get them a lot (year-round — boo) and just hate them for the way they interfere with my life.
On Sep 22, 2009 at 7:33 am #
Mommykat Bubbly Chick says:Lynn, I am SO sorry to hear you suffer with migraines- UGH! What do you take for migraines? I have limited sucess with imitrex, if I am able to lay down & sleep right after I take it- hahaha!
It seems when the weather changes, usually followed by lots of rain, it sets mine off!!!! 6 years ago I had surgery to remove polyps and they broke my nose in 4 places, and shaved the filaments and had to do a little reconstructive but the dr said the Polyps can come back. I do not care how bad it gets, I will Never have that surgery again.

Deb D Grammy Chick says:This is a beautiful pick, Lorrie! I love the color mix!
To both you and Lynn, I suffer from seasonal allergies as well as most of the group, but I’m fortunate not to get the migraines. I’m sorry to hear that you have such an awful time with them!
I am also among those who extremely dislike cold weather. I think I should move south like Mary…now if I can just convince my hubby…..;)

Deb D Grammy Chick says:On Sep 22, 2009 at 9:28 am #
Lynn Eileen Chicky LE says:YIKES!!! I don’t blame you for wanting to skip that surgery again!!! Do they think the polyps tied in with your migraines?
Weather changes are my biggest trigger, especially pressure changes and rain.
I just dread it when the weather forecast is for rain, because I just know what’s coming for me. Extreme heat and humidity can be a problem, too. Also smoke, strong perfumes, chemical smells, bright lights, red wine, onions (in quantities), sometimes chocolate
, nitrates/nitrites in processed meats.
I take medication as a preventive, plus I have Imitrex (100 mg) and prescription pain meds I can take. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don’t. When it’s really bad, I’ve ended up in the ER where they have to give me a shot of Demerol for the pain mixed with something else to stop the vomiting. The downside is that it knocks me out for a day or two.
Poor Bob — when I have a bad migraine, I have to have all the lights off, total quiet, and smells make me very ill. I feel so bad for him having to live with me when I’m like that.
On Sep 22, 2009 at 9:31 am #
Lynn Eileen Chicky LE says:The upside is that because I can’t tolerate any chemical smells, Bob cleans the toilets & the shower/tub and mops the kitchen floor.
Every cloud has a silver lining…..LOL

BBK says:I’m reading all these comments. All you guys with migraines,my heart goes out to you. As a teenager, many years ago,I was failing 12th grade English and so in order to bring up my grades,I quit Color Guard. I loved twirling baton and weapons then like I love beading now.
I few days later,in English class,my vision went blurred on one side. This was really weird. They took me to the nurse. A really cute football player, walked me down to her office. You know the kind you have a little cursh on. I have to tell you thou,at that moment in time,I could of cared less on how cute he was. And the only thing crushing was my head.
It was a truely terrible moment for me.

BBK says:Chicky LE that is true love there. Any man that will clean toilets and mop floors for his lady….WOW..
