a slough (pronounced sloo) is a marshland/small lake hybrid (a pothole gouged by the glaciers). It has lots of cattails and marsh grass and the migrating ducks and geese love to stop over and rest on their treks north in the Fall. In gray, cold Novembers, these places have the most beautiful melancholy look, especially in the waning light. Those 2 tone ribbons reminded me of this every time I scrolled past them and I finally HAD to do this pick. I’m happy you like my vision.
