J Yee smart chick says:yep that’s right, Disney did make their own version. although the art was good the story was so-so, it focused more on her actions as a young girl who wanted adventure. in the original chinese story the emphasis is on her being a dutiful daughter who supports her family thru her going to war in her father’s place. Yep I too like her earrings, she really did a wonderful job of portraying the character

My mom had surgery on her eye today and on friday starts a series of rough treatments…. we went out for a bite this afternoon – with her vision so poor, she hasn’t been out much lately – brought my laptop with and introduced her to the girls! She couldn’t make out any details, but could see all the colors on the picks and thought it was really great the way we all chat and support one another – she was very impressed. Well, it’s an impressive group!

She’s feeling fine tonight, thank you – and lets all hope that I can report the same to you girls on Friday night. Just a few weeks back, I noticed that she just wasn’t herself – after pulling it out of her, she told me that her vision was getting distorted. Rapid Occurring Macular Degeneration w/Hemorag……. bad, fast! – but we’re moving in the right direction – some vision should be restored!!! Tense day. Tense couple of weeks.

My mother has the beginning stages of macular degeneration, but it is not that far advanced, so they are trying to halt or slow it with vitamins, etc. Her sister has much more aggressive degeneration. I hope they doctors can really help your Mom. That must be so scary for you and her! You will both be in my prayers. My friend is doing very well recovering from surgery. she sent me flowers today! Very nice surprise.

Were they able to bring back any of your aunt’s lost vision? tell the truth – I need to know what I’m in for…. been trying to get her out of that house since we lost my dad and into a rancher…. this may force that – which will be a weird blessing in disguise. She was knocked over two weeks ago with the diagnosis, but is bouncing back emotionally. SO glad that your friend is doing better! Good Job!
