“Our Unmet Needs”

Description from Aqua Chickie Cat: Our needs, the stuff we deeply desire,long for and we wonder why we don't have: (maybe some seem so simple and easily met, that it's frustrating to not have them readily met), and some we wonder how we can ever have met (some seem so huge, gaping holes in our lives, that extend to the core of ourselves, maybe some even seem a little off and make one feel odd or even shamed and think that there is no real and legitimate fulfillment for the ache inside, like holes in the heart. The One Who made the need is the One who fulfills them, each as it really requires, in His own way (which is the only true healing and gets the best results), if we're willing. But many times, we devise our own "solutions" that, in reality, not only fail to fulfill the need we were attempting to meet, but rather take us further from the deliverance He had already had waiting to heal our wounds, like a man shipwrecked at sea, grabbing a weight as if it were the key to his salvation, when all along, a life preserver was surrounding him. He must let go of his perceived means of meeting the need (which is really a destructive force) in order to experience the deliverance that was already there for him.

Ephisians 3:16 [I pray that] He would grant you…to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man.
