WOW-WOW-WOW! Love this, Laud. I’ve been trying to work up a pick w/ this exact leather bead. But, you’ve mastered it!! Very lovely!!

    Laud says:

Thanks! I fiddled with this one for a long time. I don’t think sparkles are right for the leather, which sent me searching for matte surfaces. I wasn’t sure about the pearls, but when I took them out the design went flat. So many variables!

Wow is right!! This is so great. You nailed it with the leather ball. Your combo is superb :) A fav for sure

    Crazy Beader says:

You have discovered a fabulous way to use that leather bead – - which I didn’t think was very pretty until I saw this. Particularly like the marine blue pearls and Czech wisteria beads with it. Would love to see a piece of jewelry that included the leather and whatever else you chose. Great pick – - -

I haven’t seen the blue/amethyst leather beads yet, but I bought the fuschia/yellow ones, and I like them a lot. They’re nicely made, light, and so unusual. I wasn’t sure if flowers were right for this one, but the tops sort of look like petals, don’t they?

Very pretty! CrazyBeader said the same thing I was thinking – the pearls and the wisteria flowers with the leather beads. Maybe a hint of the purple iris cubes tool. :)

  12. Laud
    Laud says:

Monet–yes. He did so love the blue-greens. Also, the ribbon’s called Van Gogh iris, so we’ve got a couple of painters in this mix.

    Julie Shane says:

YES!!! These are the leather balls I bought.
I know they need something soft and subtle yet bold… What a dilemma!!!
