“Pigeons and magpies, too”

Description from Chicky Red-haired Grammy: As in all urban areas, the pigeons are ubiquitous and roost any where they please. The cooing is a pleasant sound on a warm summer evening. The magpies are large and stark white and pitch black. The monkey king is for the one who stole one of my smoked bone beads right off the terrace table where I had put it out to air. He was almost caught red-beaked when she came back for another.

Nice pick and great story! Guess that leaves the terrace out as a place to leave beads! :D

To get the smoked stink off the bone beads, wrap them in a dryer-sheet for a week or so. Airing takes an eternity.

Thank you for the tip. I will try the sheets next time. Another non-dryer use is to scatter the perfumed sheets around your car interior to keep mice out when the car won’t be used for a period of time; also place a few under the hood to keep mice away from the wires they love to chew.

What a great pick and description, Merilee! Thanks, too, for the dryer sheet tips. :D
