Straight to favorites as well! Just love this shade of green with ‘silver’. Your component choices go so well together. Would make a beautiful set.
I know your FP is a title of a movie, but, “Misty” is one of my all time favorite songs :) (I sing it to my 25 yr old mustang mare, who goes by the same name – LOL – yeah, I’m nuts!)

Thanks everyone for the lovely comments! They certainly made this gray and…wait for it…misty :-) day a bit brighter!

Lois- is your mare named after “Misty of Chincoteague”? I must have read that whole series 20 times when I was a kid!

    Hi Gail :)
We’re having gray, rainy weather up here as well (have been for 12 days now). Anyway, I adopted Misty when we lived in Phoenix, AZ from the rescue group, ISPMB. Karen Sussman (the President of the organization) gave her the name, so we just kept it. Misty was the mascot of the organization for several years.

I share your love of the “Misty of Chincoteague” series! We spent several years in Virginia growing up and actually went to see where “Misty” lived. They had a little mare there with the same name, but am not sure if it was “the” Misty :) Didn’t matter, ’cause we were thrilled to death to see her and her friends!

Have you ever seen the movie by the same name? It’s very sweet. If I recall, it was made in the late ’50s, early ’60s and used some of the real citizens of the town. Some would call the movie corny, but, I loved it :)

Hope you FP becomes a POD!!!! Thanks for brightening our day (those of us with perpetually rainy weather!)

I’ve been to Chincoteague also but never for the “Running of the Ponies”. Have been to the beach in Assateague and seen the wild ponies in the dunes and on the remote beaches though. What a thrilling sight that is!
I didn’t know there was a movie! I’d love to see it, there’s nothing wrong with corny. :-)
Thanks again for the kind words. Enjoy your rain :-/
