Description from puppychick labratbecky: I know this is cheesy to have the squirrels in here after all my silly picks but we planted a bunch of trees in our treeless back yard when we moved in 12+ years ago, 2 black walnuts in the mix and an oak. We wanted to see more wildlife and this year there has been an explosion of squirrels. I love watching their silly antics!

No, really I love this pick. We have a squirrel family (gray) living in our big maple tree, and a bunch of neighborhood red squirrels that hang out in our pines, hemlocks and spruces … much to my delight.

puppychick labratbecky says:In the town where we used to live there are a lot of albino squirrels-a pretty strong presence in the gene pool there. Our neighbor had a family of them in her attic (her house was in bad shape and was torn down after we moved away) and we used to see them crawling all over her porch roof every day. They were adorable!

OK Jacki says:Nice one, Becky…not cheesey at all…we love our yard animals. I had to stop trimming the photenias yesterday because a robin has built nest/laid her spring eggs there. Just don’t have the heart to be whacking down their habitat. So…the landscape has to look a little scruffy for a while – until Mrs. Robin is done w/ our bushes. lol

puppychick labratbecky says:Ladies, it seems we have one mind as far as the wildlife goes! thanks for the love and enjoy your yardsful! Susie, that’s awesome about the toads! There is a marsh near us that for about a week every Spring is just a huge amphibian concert! Sadly their singing is in the range of tones I have almost completely lost the ability to hear. I hate my hearing aids but it is worth it to wear them when we walk past the marsh during that magical week!
