A friend has a sweet big boy cat, 14 lbs of muscle Russian Blue type (I don’t think he’s a purebred). She brought home a tiny tabby girl cat, that I think had been a neighborhood stray. The little one was a bit skittish already but she was just sitting there when the big boy cat LAUNCHED himself off the top step through the railing and landed, SPLAT!, right on top of her!! Scared the poor thing almost to death!! The big boy cat scampered off to continue playing and the little girl cat just about had a heart attack!! My friend found a good, quiet home for the little tabby girl and the poor thing is doing better now. but the big boy cat lives with another girl cat that’s in the 10-12 lb range and They get along just fine! Strange!

too many pups aka Karen says:Our cat (Snowball)psyco loves 1 of the dogs,is afraid of the bird and rabbit. Adores my husband and bites me every chance he gets. Normal is not the word to describe our household. LB and everyone is my sanity.

you both know, kitties are pretty territorial, so I have always introduced new kitties gradually – usually I have kept the new kitty separate in a room of my apartment or house (when I had the room to do so)… of course, the resident kitty does know, but this lets the current one gradually adjust… it sometimes takes a week or two – not sure, as it’s been a long time since I last had a new kitty – 1991, when I got my last kitty Tiny Miss, and already had one, Sweetpea… and Sweetpea and Tiny had the relationship that Garfield and Nemo (the world’s cutest kitty) of the comic strip seemed to have – Sweetpea was jealous of TIny getting lots of attention – Tiny had white gloves and socks, very shy, compared to Sweetpea – the “boss” and talkative – just with me!
