Rainbow Charoite BeadsCharoite is an extremely rare mineral that is found exclusively in the Sakha Republic in Siberia, Russia. It is said that the terrain and weather in this region are so difficult that miners must be flown into the site by helicopter! While some suggest that charoite is named after the Chara River in Siberia, others suggest that the name comes from the Russian word “chary”, meaning “charms” or “magic”. These rainbow charoite beads pearly, chatoyant swirls of pink, lavender, violet, and silvery gray. Charoite also often contains inclusions of the golden yellow mineral Tinkasite. |
