And oh, the Carpenters! I love them! Karen had such a beautiful voice, it’s a shame we lost her. I think we have similar taste in music – I notice a lot of your picks have titles from songs I like! Don’t always have time to comment, but many of yours are in my favorites!

Thanks Lori! I do have a thing for a huge variety of what I call the ‘moldy oldies’ but to me, it was the best music; these songs actually had lyrics and sentiment. Did you ever see the movie about Karen Carpenter? I can’t remember what it was called or who played the main character but it was done very well. It was so very sad; she did have an amazing voice.

No never saw the movie. I’ll have to look for it @ the video shop. I’m an oldies fan too! For the same reason – the songs had emotion, not just #@$~Language!! Funny, my soon to be 13 son complains about what I listen to, but has purchased a number of moldy oldies from iTunes!

We 3 must all love the same tunes! LOL I love the Carpenters’ music — we saw them in concert once and they were wonderful!!! She truly did have the most amazing voice ever — so sad to have lost her at such a young age. I saw the movie and it was very good.

BTW, Elaine, wonderful pick! I’m not a fan of rainy days (migraines) or Mondays, but I do love this pick!

Love this new Fav!!!
I also love rainy days. Ticks me off when local weathermen try to make every sunny day sound like “good! No rain to spoil today!” when most of west Texas has been so dry we are in and out of burn bans.
As for the music: It just speaks to my heart, and I can “hear” this song in my head w/Karen’s beautiful voice.
