Description from J Yee smart chick: this one is in thanks to Frida, Julie, NYBella, foxhill designs and others here, for all your encouragement yesterday, as I pondered over which czech firepolished beads to mix with which seed beads - not so easy, given all the many yummy gorgeous and unique czech beads that LB has - like the funny smoky moons, the raisin squares, and the twilight alexandrite squares - so this one is also for the mystery of why the colors of some varieties like the raisin beads or the twilight alexandrite seem to vary with their shapes - the raisin squares seem to have streaks of deep purple and brown, vs. the teardrops - likewise with twilight alexandrite - ???

About the different colors in the beads, I think it can be du to the diff cuts and that when one takes photos it’s always some setting differences, etc??

Laud says:Good choices! I used the raisin squares in a design, and the picture is pretty accurate. There’s purple, dark copper (or brown) and caramel colors in them. The smoky moons have bluish overtones in real life.

I have the purple Mr. Hoot and I LOVE him. It’s one of those pieces that you can’t wear too often, because people notice it and remember. And then I think… didn’t I just wear this???

J Yee smart chick says:Many thanks to all of you who commented here – I just received moon beads from Becky, and they are beautiful and charming, topaz smoky matte on one side, and a lovely light teal blue on the other – the blue is one of those rainbow effects as you move the beads back and forth – doing a Pick for ‘em!!
