“Red Boy”

Description from Laud: We so enjoy seeing the cardinals at our feeder. My husband will say, "Look! There's red boy." One day, we had six males and six females at the same time.

Great pick, Laud! I don’t have any cardinals, just chickadees, a woodpecker who likes the suet and the squirrel that lives in the woodpile. :)

Wonderful pick – I remember the days when my hubby would keep the feeders full and we had all kinds of birds including cardinals. When we lived in Asheville, I saw my first bluebird. Your cardinals are more than deserving of a pick just for them.

They do. Whenever we see a Mr. Cardinal, Mrs. Cardinal is nearby.

Wowza! Fantastic way to showcase the cardinal link. I love when we have cardinals nest in the yard. When you get near their nest (I have never actually known where the actual nest is) they come out and try to lure you away. This means you get to see them a lot until the babies grow up and leave the nest.

Love this pick & cardinals. Feeding birds is as much a gift to the feeder as it is to the birds. Fascinating to watch them, and nothing more beautiful than a cardinal. Love this depiction w the strong reds & spring greens. Nice one, Laud

Today, we had 10 male cardinals at once–10!–and at least as many females, plus flocks of other winter birds (juncos, sparrows, chickadees, doves) and a lone woodpecker. My backyard looked like a Christmas card!
