“Red Jasper Challenge”

Description from Mary - Sweet Chick: I love red jasper and I have quite a bit in my stash. But everytime I go to try and use some of it, I can never come up with eye catching ways to design with it. So far, the best I could do was to use antique brass and champagne & ivory pearls. (LB! We need pearls in these colors, please!!)
Anyone have suggestions on how YOU use red jasper?

Sorry, I don’t either. I keep taking them out and moving them around with other beads and just cannot come up with a pleasing combination. Very frustrating.

I would go to the color wheel for help. But I do like Sunny Chicks’ “Rusty Denim” pick. It is a wonderful combination of cool blues with the warm red jasper. I think a teal blue would look wonderful.

This is a beautifdul pick Mary! In the past I have paired carnelian with turquoise, I think the red jasper would look great with turquoise as well!

Oohh Mary, what a wonderful design question, and LOVE what you’ve put w/ the red jasper here, all those fab warm tones – like the cool chocolate pearls, coppers, brass… okay, love pondering – besides blues, maybe put it together w/ some greens??? :)

I agree with Gina! This was so much fun! Now I have to look thru my beads, I know I have some that I am at a lost on how to use! More challenges like this would be great!
