Description from Debbi aka Sparkle Chick: Today Dad would have been 75 years old.
We remember him daily with lots of joy and laughter.
His name was John and he had the bluest eyes and an amazing sense of humor! He loved jellybeans, coffee, Christmas and mowing his lawn...the most perfect yard in town people would say! He was proud of that lawn!
He also loved his family (more than the jellybeans, coffee and the lawn!)
Dad loved the Cardinals...baseball team AND the bird!
He had strength and courage as he fought his cancer.
Missing him, thanking God that time heals AND that we have pictures, stories and memories!

LG Designs says:I know what you mean…my dad died due to complications after triple bypass. He had a a heart attack, surgery 5 days later, came through the surgery fine, but 2 days later developed respiratory distress and died 3 weeks later in intensive care. He was super healthy, walked 3 miles each day, ate right. My daughter graduated from college last month & my son from high school this weekend so we’ve have missed him so much during these milestones.

Thank you SO much for your heartfelt comments and for sharing with me as well.
I am just really missing him lately and had to do this pick in remembrance of my dad…My thoughts and prayers are with all of you as well as you deal with the grief, the missing piece of your heart and the noticeable absent place at those all important family celebrations.

I got goosebumps reading your description of your Dad — except for the fact that my Dad has brown eyes and isn’t a baseball fan, you could have been describing him in every other way. Dad will be 85 on July 24, God willing. He doesn’t have cancer, thankfully, but does have heart problems. He still gets around pretty well after having a third hip replacement last year. I love him so much!
