   Mary, thanks for the question, I know that Alaska is closest to a small part of Russia, there’s some small islands that are part of Russia I believe, the Sakhalin Islands. Will check and let you know. My pick title was a reference to the name of the Russian amazonite, wonder why it’s got that name, would be interesting to find out why it has that name, I think I’ll check wikipedia to see if they have any info.
