Description from J Yee smart chick: Since January, I have been talking with a couple of classmates of mine about starting up a consulting partnership to work with each other to do organizational change work. We are working on developing a partnership agreement, business plan, etc after months of discussion and talking to several people who do consulting already.
Coming up with a name for our partnership has taken a few weeks, and it's been fascinating to see how our name has evolved, "Roots Up" is it - we like it because of the symbolic meanings it has, both for acknowledging our cultural roots, and for the healthy growth and development we want to encourage...whoo hoo! :)
Now, I am on the lookout for some suitable supporting sources of income as we build up, my partners graduated last year and both already have "day jobs" that sustain them.
