Russian Amazonite Beads

A member of the feldspar family, Amazonite, also known as Amazon Stone, ranges in color from blue-green to green. Because of the color or Russian amazonite, it is occasionally mistaken for chrysoprase or turquoise. Deposits of Amazonite can be found in many places in the world, including Australia, Austria, Brazil, Canada, China, Ethiopia, France, Germany, Japan, Madagascar, Kenya, Namibia, Norway, India, Portugal, Russia, and The United States.
