Description from Luv2bead - Little Chick: Last night (around 9:30pm) I came home from a Jewelry Party just to find that Marbles had died during that time. I felt so bad for her because she was such a nice hamster. I was sure she'd die before Christmas but I never expected this soon...but it was probably better because she had been suffering.
I guess that means we've lost 2 pets this Christmas which is what also happened two years ago--when we lost a bunny and my "best friend" dog Poco (who had been with me since birth and my life felt/feels empty without him now that he's gone)! *sniff*

My son had a hamster (or two or three!) when he was growing up. It was VERY hard to see our “Sparky” suffer. Marbles was a very lucky hamster to have had you taking care of her!

Our first toy poodle, Angel, passed away just after Christmas & 2 days before my birthday on 1-2-04 and I still miss her every day. Having the amazing Shelby now helps, of course, but one fur baby can never replace another.
When my daughter, Suzanne, was growing up we had a multitude of hamsters, opossums, and even a white rat! All were loved and missed when their time came to leave us and go to Heaven. Yes, we believe that animals have souls and go to Heaven, too. Suzanne loved animals so much — when she was in her teens, she worked at a local pet shop, at the Indianapolis Zoo as a teen volunteer, and even thought about being a vet. Now that she is married with 3 little girls, she has a dog, 4 cats, and a tank full of fish!!! I’m sure she’d have more animals if space permitted — she’s crazy about horses!
The Rainbow Bridge poem is a real comfort, Little Chick. God’s blessings to you & your family for loving your pets so much and taking such good care of them.

Hey Lynn, I LOVE horses too!!! There’s a farm near us that allows children with disabilities learn to ride horses. I’d like to volunteer to help care for the horses there. I’d also get to ride them sometimes. Thanks again girls!!!!

Suzanne’s oldest daughter, Jenna, is 4 and also loves horses! She has gotten to ride them a few times and loves to go for walks to a nearby pasture to watch the horses there, too! She has all kinds of toy ponies that she loves to play with — it’s so much fun! She & her sister, Kaitlyn (2 yrs old) even pretend they are horses sometimes!!! LOL
