My Dad said he was picking Japanese beetles off of one of his plants, twisting their heads off and laying them on the sidewalk. He watched as the ants had a picnic dragging them off… Bwaaaaaa!!!
Sorry. Hope I didn’t offend anyone by that. Can’t be any worse than spraying poison on them……

puppychick labratbecky says:Thanks for all the encouragement, ladies. We sprayed the tree, the beetles flew or died, but about half the leaves on my baby tree are just lace. The beetles just feasted on the poor thing. It took less than 24 hours for that much damage. grrrrr. We are waiting for the little demons to go over to the river birch like they did last year, but now we are armed.
