Dizzy Chick Lori Z says:It is mint tea? My favorite!

Valentine Chick says:I love mint tea too! I always steal some mint from my sister’s house. It grows in her flower bed. I have often wondered, if I dig some up, can I replant it at my house…?

Dizzy Chick Lori Z says:Yes you can. Mint is almost like a weed, and can get invasive. I love it, because you can’t kill it! I need plants that can take care of themselves!

Valentine Chick says:NO kidding! Me too! Thanks for the info! I will steal some from her! Do you just dig up some with the root attached? Sorry I feel so dumb!!!

Dizzy Chick Lori Z says:Yep, if you can keep some of the soil around it, it will do better. You can put it in a plastic grocery bag if you need to when you move it. Then just water it when it gets dry. You’d be surprised, even if it looks like it’s dead, next year it will come back.
You could probably get cuttings to grow too, but I think that would be more work. My dad used to mow my mom’s mint every once in a while, and it spread from the cuttings out into the yard!
