Description from J Yee smart chick: I'm finishing up my last year of grad school and seeking an organization to do my final project with. I've talked with two organizations this fall that turned out to not be a good match for what I'm seeking in a project.
So I've put the word out to several folks in the area who have good networks and will be talking with a couple of people next week about possible organizations to connect with.
Getting a good match is important for us to have a good learning experience that also benefits an organization and lets us apply some of the learnings from our program of study.

Valentine chick, I have been studying Organizational Psychology, a mysterious name for folks who work with organizations to address everything from an organization’s mission/vision/values, to the environment it functions in, to organizational culture, to its structure. We work a lot with group and organizational dynamics, and I really enjoy the possibilities the field offers. So for instance LB the bead company has a terrific org culture – very young, energetic, friendly and creative, much easier to do with a young and small company!
Nicole, my sympathies to you about sometimes not getting the weekly LB e-mail about new beads,
and I sure hope you’ll meet us before you turn 18, esp if LB has that Chickies get together this coming year – oh please let our gathering be in the SUMMER TIME after I have graduated!!!

Antioch University has several campuses in different states, and our programs do offer nontraditional schedules so that people can attend from fairly long distances – people in my department and program meet in person once a month, with lots of group and online work in between our classes.

Thank you so much for your kind wishes, sure do appreciate it! Since I last wrote here, I’ve scheduled to meet with several people this week, 4 so far. I had a great meeting this morning with one of my instructors and she is introducing me to a small organization in Seattle that does great work with the Vietnamese community
There’s two possible organizations that I’ll be meeting with alumni of my department with
and also I’m meeting with a community friend who has fabulous networks… all of my experiences this quarter have taught me a lot about really asking good initial questions and looking for a good fit between both myself and the organization that would sponsor a project!
