Oh, I love this, Mary! I don’t know the song, but I get a feeling of wild freedom from the colors and charms in this pick. Vast open plains, expansive sky above, horses running free… Love it!

She ran calling Wildfire, she ran calling Wildfire…..
    Is that the song EM?

Yes, the song is ‘Wildfire’, from the mid 70s. The 1st time I heard that song I literally froze in my tracks & stared at the stereo, mesmerized, until the song had ended. I heard it again, recently, and it still raised goosebumps…

The pick came about from a couple of things that showed up side-by-side in the BGBM (the brown zebra jasper and some montana blue beads) and I was inspired to flesh it out a bit. The pick reminded me of the song, so I added the running horse and gave it the title.

oh yes, and Ivy, you’ve picked up on the theme. I always thought of the horse as a pinto, running under those big Montana skies. I included the figure 8 link because it’s also the infinity sign.

The song is so very haunting — hard to forget, no matter how long ago you heard it. :)
