Description from Ed C: I have been looking at the soft colors recently and decided to put this pick together. I would note that all my Amazonite stones are the same color and are close to the cubes in color and hue. I am going to place the leaf toggle in front near but not at the bottom. I included an alternate and plainer toggle for those who want to put the toggle in the back. I would use either the Lemon Chrysoprase or the Natural Lemon Jade but not both. The Lapis is for kick and would be a very minor element.

Julie Shane says:I think this looks great! And I don’t think the lapis has to be “minor” because it’s really nice with the amazonite.

Ed C says:Julie, Lapis does not have to be a minor player, but I want the blue and yellow to be the major players with Lapis the minor. You could also design a necklace with Amazonite and Lapis as the major players and the yellow as the minor. You could also have all three colors equal in size and importance and you could have more than three colors. I certainly do in my paintings but given the total volume of a necklace I just feel like one or two color major colors is enough. Sorry, did not mean to get “preachy” just trying to explain where I was coming from in my designs.

Crazy Beader says:This will make a great necklace, Ed. Understand what you are saying about the lapis – - think you will use it like you did the coral in one of your recent pieces – - a “pop” of unexpected color. Am eager to see the result !

Ed C says:First I have to purchase some of the elements. We have been hitting the bead suppliers in Houston and spending like I was still working so I may have to wait a month. We found two bead stores that were as big as a department store.
Is there a chat site on Lima Bead? Is there a way to contact a person directly to make a comment?

Lynn Eileen Chicky LE says:Ed, this is beautiful! Love your description, too — the necklace will be amazing!
To contact someone personally, click on “Find Beaders” under “Create & Learn” at the top right of any page. Then click on the person’s name. You can also click on the person’s name under the title of a Fresh Pick or a design he/she has posted. This will take you to his/her “Profile Page.” In the uppper right corner is “Send Private Message.” Click on that & you can send a private message to that person. He/she can respond to that message or even send you a separate one. You can do this whether or not you are “friends” with each other. Click on “Add Friend” to send him/her a friendship request. He/she will respond — sometimes this takes awhile, depending how often he/she checks this site. Others can send you a friendship request & you can accept it or ignore it. Since this isn’t like Facebook, there really isn’t any reason to decline, but you do have that choice.
The only difference in being friends is that you can now post to his/her wire (also accessible from his/her profile page). The wire is able to be read by anyone. If you post on someone’s wire, he/she may respond there or on your wire or not at all. If it’s really important, send a private message.
Near the top right side of most pages is a “Beader Profiles” box. If you have any messages, wire postings, or friendship requests, a number will show up next to “alerts” or “messages”. Since the number doesn’t always appear, it’s good to click on those occasionally to see if something comes up in the center of the page. If there is nothing, it will say so in the center of that same page.
You can also create your own profile when you’re on your profile page. Some people do, some don’t — some are short, some are a short story (such as mine — LOL
). It’s a fun way to get to know each other better! Photos of your friends also show up on your profile page. Your are automatically “friends” with the staff here at LB.
Well, that certainly was chatty of me!
I’m sending you a friendship request now. Hope you accept! If you have any more questions, just ask any of us for help!

Lynn Eileen Chicky LE says:Can’t believe I actually left out something….LOL
Sometimes when I click on “Add Friend” it doesn’t “take” right away so I click it a second time & then it says “request pending.” Not sure why.

Lynn Eileen Chicky LE says:Oh, and most of the group chatting is done under Fresh Picks and designs. Sometimes we can get really carried away and/or really silly! Also, no one ever means to hurt anyone’s feelings, so if something comes across that way, feel free to ask that person what they meant. It’s just so hard to convey tone of voice or facial expressions via typing. Sigh.

Thanks for your help. I,ll do the friend thing tomorrow. I have something else I have to do right now, again thanks. Ed
