“Something's Missing...”

Description from Cuban Queen Crazy Chick: I'm making an opera-length necklace using 1/2" new jade ovals, 6mm bronzite rounds, dark brown matte seed beads, and pewter spacer beads. The pattern is 3 jade ovals with a bronzite round between each, about 3" of seed beads, then another 3 ovals and so on. I feel like it's missing something, though. Any suggestions from the chicks?

So far you’ve got a nice combo going … maybe you need a bigger special piece of something already at hand?

Or … How about a bit of petrified green opal for texture? Or rutilated quartz for sparkly? (the clear color would go well with the pale new jade, the gold needles would pick up some sparkle from the bronzite).

Post a picture when you solve it!

Thank you, Regina! I love the idea of pairing rutilated quartz with bronzite. Great idea. I guess I just have to play around with the design some more til I get it right. Thanks! :D

Some Prehnite/Green Tourminalated Quarts could add some drama – or even some pearls that have a green silver shimmer – kind of like the silver green pearls LB has? Maybe? Hmmmmm….I will keep thinking….

I just keep thinking that because you have the bronzite and the dark brown matte seed beads that there needs to be another green mixed in….this is my structured, pattern oriented brain talking though – not sure how “structured” you are looking to have this piece be….

How about some olive or pistrachio pearls? I was also thinking that maybe Seraphinite might be a good choice.

Oh no it isn’t! It’s all here! No, seriously…how about a thin bronzite pillow as a pendant? Is that what you are looking for?
