“Sorrow :(”

Description from Luv2bead - Little Chick: Unfortunately last week two of our animals died--Reepecheep (our mouse) and Flopsy (our very friendly mini lop bunny)...everyone's sad now, but the good news (the pink pearls represent) is that someone dad works with had some baby mice that needed a home, so we got a friendly, black female and named her Millie! She's very sweet.

Oh, Sweety, I’m so sorry to hear about your loss. We love our pets and invest so much of our hearts in them.
My great- niece recently lost her dog in a freak accident, while she was at work: poor little thing got caught in a pastic bag she managed to pull down off a very high shelf, and suffocated. No one dreamed she could ever get TO that shelf. Our girl was devastated.
Our pets are with us such a short time, and teach us so much about unqualified love.
I hope Millie helps to ease your hurt.

So very sorry to hear about your sweet animals. It’s so sad. One is hard enough, but two?! Hang in there Nicole.

Glad you have a new friend in Millie now.

    Peace to your heart!

Oh, I am so sorry that happened! It is awful to lose anyone you love, and two so close together- I am sorry for your loss! I know how you love all your animals.

Thanks girls! It’s really sad to lose an animal (and I have lost lots over the years)… :(
They also died young. Flopsy had eye problems (don’t know if that affected it) and Reepecheep had really bad allergies (don’t know if that affected it either).

I’m really glad that we got Millie. She’s adorable and very friendly (which I think I’ve already said a million times LOL)!

So sorry, I am an animal lover and hate to hear such sad news. I am glad that you have Millie. She will not replace the pets you had, but I am sure you will love her nad have alot of fun with her!

Thanks Susan! No pet can ever replace another (and I’ve never loved one pet more than another). How many (and what type) of animals do you have? I have 4 goats, 4 bunnies, 10 chickens, 1 dog, 1 guinea pig, 1 hamster, & 1 mouse!

I’m so sorry to hear your news. Losing 2 at one time is a big blow. We do learn a lot about love by having pets, unfortunately they aren’t always with us as long as we’d wish. As you know, the new will never replace what you had, but I’m glad you have Millie to love!

Oh, Nicole, I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Reepecheep and Flopsy! Losing one fur baby is hard, two at the same time is so difficult. My prayers are with you, Little Chick. What a lovely pick you’ve done to honor their passings and to welcome sweet little Millie into your life. She won’t replace the ones you’ve lost, but she will bring new joy to you. My daughter had a pet rat when she was in high school and he was a very sweet pet. She had a variety of small rodents over the years and they all did very well. Enjoy your new little baby! :-)

    Hi Nicole,
I lost an old girl cat 2 years ago. I had her since she was born adn I had to have her put down at 22 years old! I was very sad, I had her longer than I had my husband! I think I went about three weeks and told my husband I missed having a cat. we went to the shelter and adopted 2 orange boys at 6 mos old! They are brothers, the big one Eric ( I call Ricky) is a big goof ball and Redd is a small scaredy cat! He has gotten braver though!

    little chicky,

So sorry to hear about the loss of both Reepecheep and Flopsy! As others have said it is always painful to lose a member of our fuzzy families, doubly so to lose two at the same time. I do miss having my two cats that I had for many years, at some point I’ll get more, will have to wait till I’m done w/ grad school.

I’m happy to hear that you have a new little addition Millie to bring you joy! I agree that each furry member of our families are like human members – each one is unique and can’t truly be replaced. However glad you now have a new little mouse to enjoy! :)

Lil Chick, so sorry about Reepecheep and Flopsy… losing a pet is difficult (and two is even harder)… I even cried when Fluff A. Nutter, our crazy biting Guinea Pig, passed… have you heard the poem ‘Rainbow Bridge’? I can’t read it without cryin’ but it helped my youngest with Fluff’s passing… welcome to the menagerie Millie!

Thanks Mystic Chick. It is really hard to lose two at a time :( . I have scrapbooks for all of my animals and each book has that poem in it (along with many others).
I think it’s sad when any animal dies (biting or not…lol).

The Rainbow Bridge poem has brought me a great deal of comfort, too. Our white toy poodle, Angel, crossed over to the Bridge on Jan. 2, 2004, and I still cry sometimes because I miss her so much. More often than not, though, I remember her with smiles and/or happy tears. :-) Our sweet toy poodle Shelby (in my pix) has brought so much joy and love into our lives since then! I think Angel helped bring us together…… ;-(
