Description from Luv2bead - Little Chick: Unfortunately last week two of our animals died--Reepecheep (our mouse) and Flopsy (our very friendly mini lop bunny)...everyone's sad now, but the good news (the pink pearls represent) is that someone dad works with had some baby mice that needed a home, so we got a friendly, black female and named her Millie! She's very sweet.

My great- niece recently lost her dog in a freak accident, while she was at work: poor little thing got caught in a pastic bag she managed to pull down off a very high shelf, and suffocated. No one dreamed she could ever get TO that shelf. Our girl was devastated.
Our pets are with us such a short time, and teach us so much about unqualified love.
I hope Millie helps to ease your hurt.

They also died young. Flopsy had eye problems (don’t know if that affected it) and Reepecheep had really bad allergies (don’t know if that affected it either).
I’m really glad that we got Millie. She’s adorable and very friendly (which I think I’ve already said a million times LOL)!

She won’t replace the ones you’ve lost, but she will bring new joy to you. My daughter had a pet rat when she was in high school and he was a very sweet pet. She had a variety of small rodents over the years and they all did very well. Enjoy your new little baby!

I lost an old girl cat 2 years ago. I had her since she was born adn I had to have her put down at 22 years old! I was very sad, I had her longer than I had my husband! I think I went about three weeks and told my husband I missed having a cat. we went to the shelter and adopted 2 orange boys at 6 mos old! They are brothers, the big one Eric ( I call Ricky) is a big goof ball and Redd is a small scaredy cat! He has gotten braver though!

So sorry to hear about the loss of both Reepecheep and Flopsy! As others have said it is always painful to lose a member of our fuzzy families, doubly so to lose two at the same time. I do miss having my two cats that I had for many years, at some point I’ll get more, will have to wait till I’m done w/ grad school.
I’m happy to hear that you have a new little addition Millie to bring you joy! I agree that each furry member of our families are like human members – each one is unique and can’t truly be replaced. However glad you now have a new little mouse to enjoy!

. I have scrapbooks for all of my animals and each book has that poem in it (along with many others).
I think it’s sad when any animal dies (biting or not…lol).

Our sweet toy poodle Shelby (in my pix) has brought so much joy and love into our lives since then! I think Angel helped bring us together…… ;-(
