“Spring Chicken”

Description from KATHERINE T: I had to do this when I saw the bird coin. I grew up on a mini farm and every spring we would get 100 chicks. I cannot do that now but in the spring I take my daughter to the sort, of farm store, and look at the baby chicks there. They let us hold them and they are so irrestibale all yellow, fluffy, and peeping away.It takes me back to being a young girl.

What a great memory. I live in suburbia but am a a fan of urban homesteading. My neighbors have been trying to convince me to raise chickens (so they can get eggs of course) but I do not have the time right now. Love this pick.

    What wonderful memories!
Been considering adding chickens to our menagerie but decided we didn’t need more critters to take care of. :| ;-)

I’ve been enjoying all your picks. Your unique sense of color and pattern is so refreshing! You’ve got me thinking in new ways. Thank you! :-D

Oh, this is cute!! i didn’t grow up on a farm but my cousins did and my grandfather was an urban farmer with a barn instead of a garage and chickens he took to shows. I would love to have a hobby farm! Thanks for the warm fuzzies, ha, pun intended!
