I love this pick, FaeryGoth Chick!! The title is great! Some of my favs for stress reducing are amethyst, ametrine, blue lace agate, charoite and moonstone.

This one is definitely going into my favs! :D

Hi Vee! Thanks for the kind words. I just love crystals and I thought it would be nice to talk about the spiritual side of gemstones. I’m sure you can add a topic as well :-D

Sarah, you are very welcome! I haven’t created picks in a while, but check out some of my older ones, some are pretty spiritual. Now that I started posting to the Design Gallery, I forgot about creating Picks! lol :D

It’s working on me already, FaeryGoth Chick! I love these stones — still would, even if they weren’t good for me! :D

Would it help if I glued them all over my body? I have a ton of external stress going on in my life right now and can use all the help I can get! ;-)

  7. FaeryGoth Chick
    FaeryGoth Chick says:

Thank you Sue and Lynn! I am sorry to hear that you are going through a stressful period in your life Lynn. You can try to glue them but I think it will hurt a tiny bit to remove them lol
No seriously, you can wear crystals to help you relax but no more than 2 at a time!

  8. Lynn Eileen Chicky LE
    Lynn Eileen Chicky LE says:

Seriously? What happens if you wear more than 2? This is all very new to me and I’m curious about it. Do you mean 2 of the same kind or 2 different kinds?

Obviously, I was joking about gluing them on, but does it help to wear them on a particular area — necklace or bracelet or earrings? Are certain crystals better than others? Thanks! :D

Sarah, thanks so much for all the info!!! You could write a book! :D Speaking of which, is there a book you would recommend on this subject? Also, where do you buy crystals?

    Thanks Sarah! V-e-e-e-r-y interesting!

  19. FaeryGoth Chick
    FaeryGoth Chick says:

Glad you find the info useful Lynn. Me writing a book, lol. I only know so little but I do have several books on the subject. I would surely recommend “The crystal bible” by Judy Hall. She has written a lot of books on the subject so you can do no harm in buying some books from her. I really like “The crystal bible”, it describes a lot of crystals and tells you for what purpose you can use them. I believe that part 2 has recently been published. I still have to wait for the Dutch translation :-( So if you are interested in crystal use, I would start with buying these 2 books.

OK, Sarah, you have got me really interested to. Do the crystals really help? These stones are all very pretty and alreaddy own several of them. Would you please send me the info too?

  21. Valentine Chick
    Valentine Chick says:

I think I need these stones too! Chicky LE, you crack me up! I just picture your husband gluing these stones on your body :)

  22. FaeryGoth Chick
    FaeryGoth Chick says:

Cathy, the message has been send :-) Do they really help… that is a subject of discussion I guess. I will say yes, I feel good when I use them but people who are sceptical about it, will probably say that it is a lot of c**p. You need to be open minded I think. The mind is a powerful tool so you have to believe. Just like in faeries :-)

  23. FaeryGoth Chick
    FaeryGoth Chick says:

As for buying a crystal, you have to look around in your area. I am sure there are shops that sell them, you can also buy them online but it is best if you can personally choose your own crystal. You need to touch them and feel if any stone in particular “responds” to you. You can feel drawn to a certain crystal so that is mostly a good sign. That is an advantage you don’t have when buying online.

  24. Lynn Eileen Chicky LE
    Lynn Eileen Chicky LE says:

That makes a lot of sense, FGC! I just checked out Judy Hall’s books on Amazon.com. There are quite a few of them, in addition to the 2 you recommended. One comes with a set of crystals, but they only had 1 copy and it was used. Somehow the idea of buying “used” crystals for healing purposes seemed strange to me. LOL

  25. Lynn Eileen Chicky LE
    Lynn Eileen Chicky LE says:

Jen, I would be more inclined to buy “peel and stick” crystals than to ask hubby to glue them on me!!! I think that whole process would just cause more stress…. ROTFLOL Remember the Lee Press-On Nails? LOL

Great pick–new Fav! Enjoyed the conversation, and I want to know about the press-on nails. LOL ;)

FaeryGoth Chick, I would like to have the crystal information sent to me, too, if you have time. Thanks. :-)

  32. FaeryGoth Chick
    FaeryGoth Chick says:

What a great idea Lilly! I did just that a minute ago. Can everybody read the info now or do I need to mail it again? If needed, let me know. Harriet, can you see it?

FGC, you are so kind to respond to all of our questions. :) Thanks!

    Lynn, you are TOO funny!!

  35. Lynn Eileen Chicky LE
    Lynn Eileen Chicky LE says:

About a hundred years ago (LOL), a company named Lee created a type of artificial nails that you could apply “all by yourself” at home called Lee Press-On Nails. Supposedly, all you had to do was peel off the backing, carefully place it on top of your own nail, and press. Ta Da!!! Beautiful nails! Well, as is the way with such things, it was easier said than done. LOL Also, they had a tendency to fly off at the most inoportune times. ROTFLOL

Also, if I remember correctly, they only came in 2 colors — a sort of clear shade and Hooker Red. ROTFLOL

  36. Lynn Eileen Chicky LE

    inoportune = inopportune Oops!

  37. Southern Chickie
    Southern Chick says:

Y’all are so funny! I remember the Lee press on nails…They should have been called Lee “pop off” nails! LOL Faery this is lovely. Great colors.

  38. Happy Chick aka Harriet
    Happy Chick aka Harriet says:

I remember those nails too! I once put some on right before my nephew’s wedding. I spent that evening trying to protect my nail tips so they would not fly off. Funny now, but I was distracted that evening by thoughts of not having a press-on nail go flying off while helping with the festivities. LOL :-)

  39. No Photo
    Deb D Grammy Chick says:

Spelling aside, Lynn, I definitely agree with you about those things…also, you had to have the exact right size nail yourself, or they popped off even faster because they didn’t fit right!

  40. Lynn Eileen Chicky LE
    Lynn Eileen Chicky LE says:

Yes, that was a real problem — the tips were either too big or too small, none were just right! (Sounds more like The Three Bears and Their Lee Press-On Nail Adventures!) ROTFLOL

  41. FaeryGoth Chick
    FaeryGoth Chick says:

You ladies sure had a lot of “wonderful” experiences with those false nails :-D Funny indeed! Now you don’t have to stress about it, you can just get acrylic or gel nails :-) I still prefer my own nails :-)

  42. FaeryGoth Chick
    FaeryGoth Chick says:

    thanks Southern chick!

Sounds like a new pick inspiration to me Chicky LE! LOL

Sarah, Thanks for your wonderful insight on healing crystals.
I find the world of crystals and gemstones fascinating.
I know what you mean about the crystal speaking to you. I have a story about that. I’m working on an amethyst piece with a wonderful story behind it. I’ll post it on the design gallery , with the story in a few days. I’ll let you know when it’s posted.
Thanks again for a wonderful pick.

  45. Valentine Chick
    Valentine Chick says:

    Cool! Can’t wait Purple Chick!

  46. FaeryGoth Chick
    FaeryGoth Chick says:

Hi Violet! You are welcome. Dream Chickie also knows a lot about the subject. I love crystals and gemstones, just like you. You got me very curious about your amethyst piece and the story behind it! So don’t keep us waiting too long :-D
