to get a gmail account, type http://www.gmail.com in the address bar just like you do for limabeads…then just click on the link that comes up…or you could use the email address you already have, the one you use to log in for lima beads…the only people that will have access to whichever email you use, will be the LB chickies…make sense?

Hey little chick! You probably already know this, but just in case: the Hefty zip lock bags, size 2.5 gallon will hold a bead board, a few tools and supplies, and not spill your stuff all over the car. It also helps to lay one of the bead cloths over your bead board to help keep things from sliding around. This works pretty well once it is zipped up and the extra plastic is sort of folded over the board. I had a commercial board w/a fitted lid, but it has not held up well. (One of the catches to the lid has already broken off, and can’t be replaced because it’s plastic. The nice foam tray with the channels built in is nice though.)

I’m going out Thursday night after work for dinner. I’m having dinner with my cousin. I have not seen him, sadly, since my dad’s viewing. (11 years ago – nearly to the day….) I wanted to make a necklace and earrings – and be able to get excited about all of this to him. Not to show off bad, to say, hey! Look what I’m doing – and I love it! Problem is, I can’t figure out what to wear – so, I sure as heck don’t know what to make… but ought to at least get a plan together tonight.

Interesting idea, Downy! this is not sad – this is happy, despite it being so long – and the ocassion that it was that we last sat and talked. my cousin is signif older than I. He is old enough to be my dad! (as my dad was the baby of a large family – and my cousin from one of the oldest sibs) …. so, he knew a man that I never did…. from years before my dad even met or married my mom. I can’t wait to hear some stories – and ofcourse, too much time and space has come between us – this is a chance for a new beginning – and old memories both… I’m excited. I like your idea, Downy! I’m gonna dig thru my gemstone beads right now!

Smoky – I think we might be related, except an 11:00 bedtime is early for me! Not that I function well at all without sleep, but I cannot go to bed when I’m beading. I don’t feel a rush, but I just don’t get tired. Was up till 5 am Saturday/Sunday! Then 1:00 Sun/Mon. And yesterday was a marathon day with school stuff (work & kids). Today was crash & burn.

I’m from Kansas, grew up near KC, and now south central, about an hour from Wichita. Love it here!

What a neat thing to get together with your cousin. Hearing stories from the past really gives new perspective to your memories. Enjoy your evening! I agree with Jeannes Gems, beads first, then outfit!

Downy Chick, I think organizing makes me less creative! I’ve done the same thing, since I had no place to put the stockpile of beads I have, they all went into a basket. After sorting & putting them away (by color) I couldn’t think of what to do! So frustrating!

Organizing helped me find beads I’d forgotten about. I found some great boxes at AC Moore for organizing. They’re called photo keepers. There’s five snap lock boxes to fit 4×6 photos and they fit into a bigger stackable box. Just need to get labels and I’ll be all set.

Nope, not that fast on my feet! I started out as a graphic designer, (small time) but we live in a small(er) town, & when our kids were born I got to stay home. I really had lost the taste for working for “clients” & had an offer to work as a library aide. It suits me just fine, enough contact with the kids, but nothing to “take home” with me when the day is over!
