Description from Kaydee: I love the poetry of A.A. Milne (1882-1956).
He wrote two books of children's poems, "When We Were Very Young" and "Now We Are Six".
The two books are now published in one volume "The Complete Poems of Winnie-the-Pooh".
This pick is in homage to his poem
"The Dormouse and the Doctor", from "When We Were Very Young".
It begins:
"There once was a Dormouse who lived in a bed
Of delphiniums (blue) and geraniums (red)
And all the day long he'd a wonderful view
Of geraniums (red) and delphiniums (blue)"......
A.A. Milne's poetry sings with childhood innocence and lighthearted humour -- loved by children and adults alike. Well worth a read, no matter what age.
