“The Martyr's Gem”
Description from Jeannes Gems - Gem Chick: I chose the 30mm bloodstone coin as my focal point since I've never used bloodstone before. (Just got some rounds and I love it!) Then, of course, I had to look up it's background.
Bloodstone is considered a stone of courage, sometimes called "the Martyr's Gem". "The legend of the origin of bloodstone says that it was first formed when some drops of Christ's blood fell and stained some jasper at the foot of the cross." It is also used in healing to promote the flow of energy and to aid in the circulation of blood.
