“The Mystery of Scarlet Lake”

Description from Blooming Ideas: One can only imagine how Scarlet Lake got it's name. To the naked eye it appears calm and serine. But what lies beneath remains a mystery to this very day.

Red remains my favorite color and you have made it deeply mysterious here, Terri, especially with all the Arte Metal. Just love the drama and hope you’re planning to make something beautiful and will share photos with us – - -

Well not about mystery lake. Least I don’t think the lake in the movie was called that. The movie I’m referring to Terri, is from your comment in your description. The what lies beneath part. Had Michelle Pfeifer and Harrison Ford in it.

Terri, this is amazing. If I had time I’d go drag out all my black and red stuff and get busy. I don’t have the black findings but I do have the other dark metal. But alas I’m exhausted and want to go to bed. But really, this is gorgeous and yes very mysterials. Where “did” the title come from. Did you make it up? however if you did.

Thank You all for commenting! I really appreciate it. :)
Nancy…I made up the title from the two Czech items I have in the pick. I like a light mystery every now and then. Mary Higgins Clark is one of my favorites. I got to meet her once several years ago. Went to Bead Haven in Frakenmuth, MI today with Katherine T. Was nice to see similar if not the same product being offered here at Lima in person. The turbine beads are amazing.
Hope everbody has a great weekend.

this title sounded so familiar i was taken in, espec. with the implications of those ultra realistic ‘bloody’ Scarlet Lake Dotted Squares(…URGH!) & the eerie drama of the black Vintaj Arte Metal!!…fun & mysterious pick, Teri!

    Update to the Mystery:
After looking into the newspaper archives. It seems that back in the “Gone with the Wind” era, Bret got so fed up with Miss Scarlet. He grabbed her hand and dragged her to the lake. He then swooped her up like it was nothing and plopped her behind right in the lake. It’s been known as Scarlet lake ever since. ;)
