“The Parka Under My Costume”

Description from CAS: Back when I was in 3rd grade I wanted to be a Greek Goddess for Halloween. Mom made me a beautiful costume ... gleaming white with gold braid adorning it, we piled my long hair up and ran more gold braid through it ... I was SO HAPPY! And then ... dah-dah-da ... my parents said I had to wear my parka ... my PURPLE HOODED PARKA! ... when we went out. I was crushed ... I argued ... I pleaded ... I tried to reason (sleeve-less Greek Goddess costumes would look silly with purple parka arms) ... alas ... all to no avail ... I wore the parka, and have always remembered the disappointment.
