“The Tuatara of New Zealand”

Description from Poms Forever aka Donna: This large and spiny reptile is so interesting! The lizard has a vestigial third eye! The species is old, and but for living on an island off of New Zealand, it is the only surviving rhynchocephalian. Interesting??

Great pick here, Donna!! I love the bright greens and the fossil coral is a great way to represent how ancient the species is!
