“The Walls Dripped Beads”
Description from Mommykat Bubbly Chick: Many years ago, longer than you would think by looking at her face which was still youthful & vibrant lived a little girl named Lorrie.
On her birthday one year, a present arrived. Delighted, she tore into the package only to find a few strands of beads and a single eyeless scull staring back at her.
"Oh joy" she squealed in her usual happy & bubbly way "Beads!!"
Where had these beads come from? She searched, tearing through the packing materials till she located the shipping label : which said MADE IN CHINA, and nothing more.
Lorrie went to bed that evening, dreaming of her new beads and what she could create. A necklace? perhaps, or earrings. A gal can never have too many earring...and so thinking, Lorrie slept & dreamed.
She awoke in total darkness, feeling disoriented, and a bit ill. Something was not right. Determined to be brave, she turned on the light.
"AAAAAAhhh!! The Walls, oh the walls!" Such a sight, terrifying to behold- the walls were covered in a thick viscus-like slimey gooey substance, and trapped deep in the goo, were her new beads.
She started to back up, and bumped into her desk. Turning, she saw the eyeless scull (which was now glowing an eerie red) sitting there. Fleeing the room, and desperate little Lorrie screamed for help "Aquakitty, save me"
Aquakitty arrived, shipped ultra fast from the Lima Bead Headquarters but he was too late. The house was encased in a giant pool of ooze.
Aquakitty tried & tried, for he was Valiant, Brave & True. But the goo was so sticky Aquakitty could not get into the house. Sadly, he was about to give up when a hand streched from the gooey doorway. "Aquakitty, I knew you would come!!" Aquakitty rescued Lorrie, and then battled with the evil scull, sending it & the black goo straight back to China.
From that day forward, Lorrie always got her beads from Lima!
