Description from Deb Harding: There have been several good picks expressing the despair everyone feels over yesterdays tragedy. I just felt the need to say something. As I walked from my neighbor's house yesterday afternoon 3 of the little boys that live on my court ran up to me, two 1st graders and 1 preschooler. 1 shows me the snowflake he had made, 1 asks me if my big dog can come out to be rubbed, the youngest excitedly jumps up and down proclaiming " I'm gonna be 5! I'm gonna be 5!'. As I look at their faces I am struck with the fact that someone could enter a classroom full of these bright, shiny eyes with the whole world before them and take it from them and it is all I can do to.keep the smile in my face.
The last heart is whole with wings. May they fly free of pain.

Stone Treasures says:Such a beautiful pick expressing how many in our nation are feeling and a heartwarming experience you had. I have two small nephews, 7 and 9, who were told this morning. The 7 year old was very upset and just didn’t want to talk about it. The 9 year old told him it was ok, cause they all got to go to heaven with their friends. Out of the mouth of babes! Lots of prayers and peaceful thoughts to all.

AllureofGemsGlamJulia says:Yes, lots of prayers… For over 30 years I was teaching kids piano : from 5 years old and through 16 years old. I watch them grow, going through their pains and happiness. Becoming part of their lives so to speak.. Watching them sparkle, watching them sad…It all was taken away in CT from the massacred babies and their families.
Unthinkable tragedy!

puppychick labratbecky says:As hard as this is, I also ache for the young man who was in so much pain himself that he felt compelled to do this. The picture that is emerging of his life is almost as sad as what he did. Innocence was lost all arouund. Embrace your fellow humans. perfect pick.

Deb Harding says:I know Becky. Everytime something like this happens I always wonder what pain what torture is in the mind, heart and soul of the person that would drive them to commit such an unspeakable act. I ache for his family…to know that someone you cared for did this…to.have unthinking hateful people judge you because of this. To live with this forever…
It is a hard thing to bear for.everyone.

Blooming Ideas says:Your Pick Reminds me of *some* of the lyrics From this song.
Where I used to have a heart
Feels like a mile wide ditch
I got a hole inside
The doctor just can’t stitch…

Deb Harding says:I have never even heard of that book Frida. I will have to look.into that.
Here’s the thing about those 3 little boys. Basically they are all pretty good. But sometimes they can.really get.on my nerves one in particular is kind of.a little trouble maker. But.I could never imagine wanting to.kill him. Its just beyond comprehension.
