“Those Coy Koi!”

Description from KittyMom Linda: Was outside sweeping my deck earlier and glanced in my lonely pond, where all my Koi had perished this winter because the snow load totally covered the pond leaving no place for the gases to escape. Well, there was ONE, TWO, THREE of the biggest Koi of the bunch swimming around so carefree! The big guys had been hiding from me for a long while. I'm so happy to have my friends in there. I feed them, they took the food from my hands, and swam happily to the waterfall. Those coy Koi, they were there all along!!

KittyMom Linda says:Yeah, I have to chase the heron away once in a while too, I have heron statues that usually scare the real ones away. Heron are quite territorial and if they see another one already there, they usually pass (and go to my neighbors pond a few houses up – oops!)
