“To My Mom”
Description from Granny Nancy: My Mom was noted for her denim jumpers. Winters up north are long so she was mostly in heavy stockings, denim jumper with matching shirt, and denim sneakers at home.
She was an extraordinary seamstress, loved stray cats, raised vegetables right up to the day she passed, fed the birds, loved to clean, and puttered with flowers.
In our youth she made all our clothes and canned anything you could get into a jar. She was the best cook and baker.
Over the years she learned how to do common plumbing tasks, carpentry tasks, and anything else she set her mind to like upholstering or refinishing furniture.
I loved to talk politics with her. We could agree to disagree. She passed only 3 1/2 yrs ago at age 93. We were each other's best friends at the end.
