Karokat says:Thank you! Is your new baby waking you at this hour, or are you a night person like me?
On Feb 11, 2012 at 6:30 am #
FaeryGoth Chick says:Over here (in Belgium), it is morning already so the baby did not wake me
. Now, it is noon.

Karokat says:Thanks for the comments – I’m glad there are so many fans of the turquateal colors (turquoise-aqua-teal). Along with purple, turquateal is my favorite color.
FaeryGoth Chick, I’m glad it wasn’t the baby waking you up! With the time difference between the Eastern U.S. and Belgium, you might be one of the few chicks awake when I have a mad urge to post a Fresh Pick in the middle of the night. I find myself beading later and later into the night, and then I sleep really late. Good thing I work from home!

Lynn Eileen Chicky LE says:I love the new color name you’ve invented, Karokat! It is stunning! I’ve always loved each of the 3 colors individually and now I can love them together! Great idea!
I’m also a super-night owl and can be found on here all hours of the day and night. Well, not in the morning — that’s when I sleep.
Perhaps I’m really a vampire! ROTFLOL

Karokat says:I’m glad you liked the Turquateal pick, Lynn. I’ve actually been wondering if I’m turning into a vampire – LOL! At least I’m in good company! I’ve always been a night person, but since I stopped working in the corporate world, somehow I just can’t sleep until dawn. Of course, then the phone starts ringing at 9am, with organizations calling to ask for donations.

Lynn Eileen Chicky LE says:I’m the same way — when I worked outside the home, I had to get up at 5 AM & didn’t get home until 5 PM. Now that I stay at home, I sometimes don’t go to bed until 5 AM!!!
I have also always been a night owl, but had to fight it for so many years — now it’s a relief to get to be one! I’ve always noticed that my energy level rises as the day passes — my highest energy levels start in late afternoon and last until the wee hours! My Hubby, of course, is the complete opposite and always has been. He is up at the crack of dawn each day, sleeping in on the weekends until 7:30 (maybe)! Yikes! Then he falls asleep in his recliner around 9-9:30 PM. When I wake him up and suggest he go to bed, he tells me it’s too early to do that! Good grief…. Don’t know what we’ll do when he retires! Talk about opposites attracting! LOL
I also hate it when people call me in the AM. My close friends and family know not to do that! I also never schedule any appointments in the morning, because I know I’ll be too tired to get up for them!
On Feb 11, 2012 at 8:14 pm #
Karokat says:I’m just like you! I always make my appointments for the afternoon because I sleep in the morning. My younger sister and I always argue over the time when we get together for lunch – she’s a morning person and wants to have lunch at 11:30am! I’m rarely even awake at 11:30am, and my stomach isn’t ready to eat until about 1pm at the earliest.
I’m very lucky that my Hubby is also a night person, although he generally goes to bed about 2 hours before I do (but he has sleep problems so he usually stays in bed until about 2 hours after I get up. So we usually take Sadie for her “packwalk” at around 3pm in the winter.
I can’t imagine how you can cope with a morning-person Hubby! You must be a saint, Lynn!

Deco Chick Elaine says:Nice combo – electric and soothing at the same time :>)
On Feb 12, 2012 at 12:41 am #
Lynn Eileen Chicky LE says:Karo — It’s great to know I’m not the only one out there who is such a night owl! My Hubby acts as though I’m a space alien or something. He truly doesn’t understand it. He probably thinks HE is the saint!!! LOL
Is Sadie a night owl (dog
)?
