Deco Chick Elaine says:Yep, Eight Belles broke down right after crossing the finish line in a race – broke both front legs :>( I hope that I’ll Have Another can stretch himself out for that long distance in the Belmont!!! It is a huge test for any horse. I must watch a replay of the race – couldn’t watch it live. Love your pick!!!

puppychick labratbecky says:I can’t watch the races live anymore either because of the broken legs I have seen. It is so sad that there is no way to keep those horses alive and to heal them. I just watched Secretariat a few weeks ago, too, and I was so nervous for him I almost had to turn it off and it was only a movie.

I didn’t watch the first leg but heard about the race. So, I went on the internet and watched the win. Now, I am praying for this horse and that he stays healthy. Just had to honor “I’ll HAVE ANOTHER” for his valor and greatness. Winning two out of three is greatness! Thanks everyone.
