    Becky…
First, you know I had to look up the word.
    Second, it’s THE perfect word.
Third, I am SO in love with this pick. Soothing and refreshing but also invigorating.
I kinda-sorta hope this doesn’t make POD because then I’ll be seriously in debt.

Thank you all so much for the kind words! Asia, I do know that whole song in what was my family’s native tongue 2 generations back from me. I think it is most beautiful in the original German! You must speak several languages, being originally European! That is so cool! America has unfortunately let that slide in the schools. Almost everyone came here from somewhere else and all were so focused on learning a common English that the old languages were allowed to languish. Too sad.

My daughter spent time in France (she is fluent) and on the flight over there a gentleman sutting by her tried to converse. He was guessing at her nationality and fist tried German, then Italian, then English! THen they had a nice converstaion! (if he had tried French or Spanish she would have understood!)

    Asia says:

Yes Becky I do, German was actually mine second language that I learned, than Russian ( my parents believed that you should know languages of your neighbours ), then I worked in Italy for a while and learned that language, it was quite easy as I new Latin already, than came English. My mother spoke excellent French I tried to teach me, but that did not go very well.

I just saw your comment and I am very impressed! the 2 roots of European languages are Romance and Germanic. French kind of does its own unintelligible thing, I think! :) Kinda like the French are-unique! My daughter is a total Francophile so I have learned from her. :)
I learned Latin and German (not fluently) and a little Greek. All helpful for work in the sciences.
