“What a Day,Need to de-stress”

Description from Purple Chick aka Violet: Today has been quite a day....
I flew from Charlotte to Phoenix, then was suppose to fly home to Ontario, CA.... that flight was canceled and I had to fly to Los Angeles, and Eric came to pick me up....
On the way home we were in an accident on the freeway... a car hit another car that hit a truck that hit us from behind.... luckily we didn't hit anyone, and by the time the truck hit us it didn't do to much damage, just messed up the bumper... and we were not hurt... two of the cars were totaled but no one was hurt seriously....
If that wasn't enough, when we got home the electricity was off on the whole street and had been for most of the afternoon and early evening.... so all of the food was spoiled.....
Now I'm looking at pretty stones and drinking a glass of wine.......

Our power was out on Sunday evening for about 1-1/2 hrs due to a storm, but everything was ok. You were very lucky to have not been injured. Things could have been so much worse…. we were in rush hour traffic, so it was a little slower, if the cars had been going at a normal pace we could have been a lot worse off….. we are both fine, and it will only cost about $200 to fix the van…. so we won’t even deal with the insurance….. In the big picture …. we are very lucky indeed and feel truly blessed to be here today and able to have such wonderful friends here at LB…..

Good thing for rush hour traffic. I don’t envy what traffic you must have out there. It’s no wonder there are so many accidents there and not more. Ted was out there once and he says Jersey traffic is worse and I’ve been there with him. Drivers I think take on an entire different personality when they are tired from a long work day and driving. I think there should be an entire system of train/bus travel for everyone all over the world. A universal system so to speak. Then issue valium to everyone as they out the door from work. Can you imagine the peace on earth. LOL
